2x4 Pumpkins
I saw this tutorial here which linked me to the original post, here! This was a great project for all of our random scraps and cull lumber pieces!
I asked the hubs to cut the wood for me and he came up with two sets that look like this one below... So, I gave one away. haha! 12 pumpkins would have been a little much. He also made the grooves for my with our table saw. Yay for hubbies!
We have 2x4s and 2x6s cut in 8,6, and 4 inch tall pieces.
I went back and cut the 8inch 2x4 one in half and made 2, 4 inch pumpkins and gifted those out as well. As of right now, the 8inch 2x6 is still sitting on my kitchen island. I can't decide if I want a super tall pumpkin, 2 short pumpkins, a white pumpkin, or no more pumpkins.
Oh.. the brain of a crafter.
And here is the finished project!
Well, maybe I need some more raffia. :)

A New Key Fob
My first attempt at a fabric keychain was a bit rushed and kind of sloppy, so I decided to give it another go and actually follow the tutorial, Here, at The Idea Room.
Here is my second attempt and it looks tons better.
Plus, I used some cute canvas from Hob Lob and it is much sturdier.

Super Simple Wall Hangings
Seriously -
MDF
a little paint
Mod Podge
scrapbook paper
Done.
My hubs cut these squares from some scrap wood from Home Depot ($.51!)
They are 81/2 by 81/2 only because that was how it worked out with the size MDF we had.
After painting the edges of the wood, I cut the scrapbooking paper to 81/4 by 81/4 and mod podged it to the wood.
We hung ours with a brad nailer and an air compressor, but a simple hammer and small nails would do the trick.

A Dresser for the new Playroom
The playroom is almost done, but until I am ready to do the big reveal - I will show some smaller projects that we did along the way.
This dresser/bookcase/nightstand cost us $5 at a garage sale.
If you add the cost of the knobs, scrapbooking paper and Mod Podge to the total cost of this piece we might be set back a whole $10.
And Voila!
I painted this whole thing sitting on my kitchen floor and then I Mod Podged some scrapbooking paper from the arsenal to the fronts. The hubs installed some knobs and a handle and there you have it. A new look for cheap!

Crayon Roll Up
I made Jake this crayon roll today.
Jake isn't really into coloring yet, but I am ready when he gets the urge! :)
I followed this tutorial exactly and it worked great!
The Valentine's Day Wreath
After seeing this done here, I knew I had to try. Amy says that this wreath takes a lot of little circles and she was right. I bought some cream ribbon and some black ribbon to hang it because I couldn't choose, but for right now it is resting on the hutch's knobs.
Happy Valentines everyone!

Formula Containers
I have a million formula cans around here. (Okay, not a million, but a few...)
So, I turned them into cute containers for my kids' art supplies.
I use the double-tall containers, but the regular size would work fine.
I spray adhesived the back of scrapbook paper I cut to size and then quickly rolled the paper onto the cans.
I found it easiest to lay the middle of the paper on the can and then smooth in each direction.
When all the cans were covered, I used letter scrapbook stickers to label each can.
Can you tell which letters I made by using pieces of other letters?
Cute, huh!? and it seriously took me like 30 minutes.
